Holi has always been special in my memory for many years and I had best time of my life celebrating this festival all these years. I always wait for Holi week and the big day which is different from other days. I like Holi because it helps me relax and come back to my childhood days and bring joy to my face. My childhood was like Holi festival and was very colourful and vibrant. The eve of Holi was celebrated with so many different kinds of events in the society both during day and night. I consider Holi as a festival which is celebrated by everyone and even tourists comes to India and experience this festival. Holi festival is the way to forget our enemies and people who are upset with us and start a new set of relationship with them. All this takes some initiative and patch of colours in hand and you are set to start relationship. Holi helps to come out of sadness and bad times to live moments of life in a better way. This festival can be celebrated by people with all ages and even played without much of investment. All it takes a bunch of colours and sweets.

Holi sends a message that all people are equal and we must not differentiate them on basis of colour. I remember that my mother would fill up the water bucket and then mix colours and get me unique pichkari with bottle to store the water in my childhood. She would put coconut oil in my hair and in the hand to prevent any kind of rashes and skin problems in my skin. I would sing the Holi songs and dance with my friends.

There has been a lot of change and transition in last decade and I have moved to another place with more responsibilities and job. I do get less time and busy with work most of the time. I am occupied very much and there is not much time to enjoy with family. But this coming weekend I want to enjoy the Holi madness again and get away from all the restrictions and keep all priorities at bay. I want to enjoy the traditions and old culture of our family way of Holi want to get immersed in this festival of colours and feel the beauty of it from core of my heart. There is no looking behind anymore and I play to get the environment friendly colours to enjoy this fest in the best possible manner.

“I’m pledging to #KhulKeKheloHoli this year by sharing my Holi memories atBlogAdda in association with Parachute Advansed.”
